Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan has released the joint doctrine for amphibious operations at the Chiefs of Staff Committee meeting in New Delhi, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defence.

The doctrine serves as a crucial guide for commanders executing amphibious operations in today's intricate military settings.

The Ministry emphasized that this capability enables the armed forces to undertake diverse missions in the Indian Ocean, both in wartime and peacetime, reflecting the cohesion and integration of the armed forces.

This release follows the joint doctrine for cyberspace operations, marking it as the second significant doctrine announced this year focused on jointness and armed forces integration, particularly in amphibious scenarios.
