A tragic incident unfolded in Uttar Pradesh's Khejuri area as a 17-year-old boy allegedly hanged himself following a dispute with his father, police confirmed on Sunday.
The young boy's body was discovered hanging from a tree in a local village on Saturday. Khejuri Station House Officer Anita Singh stated that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
At the heart of the issue, as explained by Officer Singh, was an altercation between the teen and his father, who had slapped him a few days prior due to his lack of work. The boy had run away, prompting his family to initiate a search, which concluded with the harrowing discovery. An investigation into the apparent suicide is currently in progress.
