Pawan Kumar Gupta Submits Nomination for Historic J&K Assembly Elections
Pawan Kumar Gupta, BJP candidate from Udhampur West, submitted his nomination papers for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. The first elections post-Article 370 abrogation will occur in three phases in September and October. BJP's manifesto focuses on women, youths, and Kashmiri Pandits.

Pawan Kumar Gupta, the BJP candidate from Udhampur West Assembly constituency, submitted his nomination papers for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections on Saturday. Before the submission, Gupta led a roadshow with numerous BJP activists waving party flags in support.
The elections will be held in three phases—September 18, 25, and October 1— with results announced on October 8. These are the first elections post-Article 370 abrogation, with 90 assembly constituencies, including reserved seats for SCs and STs. Jammu and Kashmir's electorate totals 88.06 lakh eligible voters.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled BJP's manifesto on Friday, pledging 25 promises focused on women, youths, and Kashmiri Pandits. The 'Maa Samman Yojana' promises Rs 18,000 annually to senior women in each household, along with aid for Women SHGs on bank loan interest. The National Conference, Congress, and Samajwadi Party are allies in these polls.
