In a tragic incident on Saturday, a building collapse in Lucknow's Transport Nagar led to the deaths of four individuals, while twenty-four were rescued. Defence Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh expressed his sorrow over the incident, confirming that several individuals remain trapped. 'The rescue operation is ongoing,' stated Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob.

Rajnath Singh communicated with the District Magistrate to get an on-ground update. 'I have spoken to the District Magistrate and got information about the situation. The local administration is actively involved in rescue operations,' Singh posted on X.

Meanwhile, Lucknow District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar is ensuring that the injured receive proper medical attention. 'Top-level monitoring is in place to guarantee appropriate treatment for the injured,' he said.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to accelerate relief efforts and ensure rapid transportation of the injured to hospitals. 'The Chief Minister is keen on the expeditious rescue operations and has wished for the speedy recovery of the injured,' stated the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's Office.

Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Amitabh Yash confirmed that CM Yogi is continuously reviewing the relief operations. 'Senior officials were dispatched immediately for coordinated rescue efforts. Various departments including NDRF, SDRF, and fire services are involved. So far, 24 people have been rescued,' Yash reported.

Municipal Commissioner Indrajit Singh added that rescue operations are in full swing with the involvement of multiple agencies. 'NDRF, SDRF, fire brigade, and police are all engaged in rescue operations,' he said.

Chief Fire Officer Mangesh Kumar mentioned that many people are still feared trapped. 'The exact number of trapped individuals remains unknown,' he said. Further updates are awaited as rescue teams continue their efforts.
