A fire broke out at a garment factory in the industrial area of district Ganderbal on Thursday evening. Several locals quickly gathered at the spot and assisted fire tenders in extinguishing the flames.
Further details on the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently awaited. This incident follows another fire that occurred in August in the attic portion of a hotel near Abdullah Bridge in Srinagar.
A firefighting operation was promptly launched, and fortunately, no casualties were reported in the Ganderbal incident, Assistant Director of Fire Services Aqib Hussain Mir told ANI.
