A tragic incident has shaken Kota as a student preparing for a medical entrance exam was found hanging in his rented apartment, authorities reported on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Parshuram, a resident of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

Parshuram arrived in Kota just a week earlier to prepare for the competitive medical entrance exam. The grim discovery was made by the owner of his rented accommodation on Wednesday night, who found Parshuram hanging from the ceiling.

Jawahar Lal, an Assistant Sub-Inspector with Jawahar Nagar Police, stated, "Prima facie, it appears that the student died by suicide. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and we are further investigating to ascertain the reasons behind this extreme step." He added, "The deceased's father has made serious allegations against the coaching institute, and we are probing these claims." More details on the case are awaited.
