The United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE) has launched a new open online package aimed at enhancing awareness and understanding of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE). This comprehensive resource, developed by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) with funding from the Luxembourg government, is designed to empower a diverse range of stakeholders, including UN Member States, intergovernmental bodies, UN entities, regional organizations, policymakers, academia, think tanks, development banks, civil society, the private sector, and media.

The online package provides a clear introduction to the fundamental concepts and practices of SSE and highlights its crucial role in fostering inclusive and sustainable development. It consists of four modules:

Module 1 - The SSE as a Game Changer: Understanding the Concept and Its Building Blocks

Module 2 - The Role of the SSE in Achieving Inclusive and Sustainable Development

Module 3 - The SSE as a Tool for Decent Work and Inclusion

Module 4 - Follow-Up to the Resolution on Decent Work and the Social and Solidarity Economy

These modules are available in multiple languages, including Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish, with Modules 1 and 2 also offered in Turkish, Korean, Swahili, Wolof, and Yoruba, thereby broadening their accessibility and impact.

This initiative aims to provide valuable insights into the transformative potential of the Social and Solidarity Economy and encourages stakeholders to engage with the material to advance their understanding and application of SSE principles.
