The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) stressed the importance of using caste-based census data solely for the upliftment of marginalized communities, rather than for electoral gains. Addressing a press conference on the final day of the RSS Samanvay Baithak, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar emphasized the sensitive nature of caste relations and their impact on national unity and integrity.

Ambekar highlighted that the government has previously collected caste data and can continue to do so, provided it focuses on welfare measures. He warned against exploiting such data for political purposes, outlining the need for it to address the specific needs of lagging communities.

Additionally, the RSS discussed the recent tragic incident at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College. They proposed addressing it on five fronts: legal measures, societal awareness, family values ('sanskaras'), education on sensitivity, and self-defense training. They also criticized harmful media content, noting it influences individuals involved in such crimes. The Samanvay Baithak wrapped up on August 31 in Palakkad, Kerala.
