Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, General Officer Commanding (GoC) of Kharga Corps, welcomed the Pine Division Warriors expedition team at Ambala Cantonment after their triumphant completion of the 'Beyond The Horizon' trekking expedition to Pin Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of India's 78th Independence Day.
During a ceremony at the Kharga War Memorial 'Vijay Smarak' on Saturday, the GoC commended the 15-member team, led by Major Puneet Kumar, for their outstanding feat. The nine-day trek spanned over 100 km, navigating challenging high-altitude terrains under harsh weather conditions, showcasing the true spirit of the Indian Army, resilience, and teamwork.
Throughout the expedition, the team interacted with veterans in remote areas, drawing inspiration from their stories of courage and resilience. The mission aimed to promote adventure and inclusiveness in the border regions, embodying the Indian Army's commitment to connecting with its veterans, Veer Naris, and the widows of fallen soldiers.
