Forest Department Ramps Up Efforts to Capture Remaining Wolves in Bahraich
The Forest Department intensifies its operations to capture the last two out of six wolves responsible for the deaths of eight people and injuries to 15 in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Four wolves have already been captured, and authorities are employing various strategies, including infrared drones, to locate the remaining pair.

The Forest Department team has ramped up efforts to capture the last two remaining wolves out of a pack of six that terrorized the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. These wolves have been responsible for eight fatalities and 15 injuries over the past two months.
Officials laid traps in Sisayya Chudaamani village, where the fourth wolf was recently captured. Chief Forest Conservator Renu Singh confirmed that seven children and one woman have been killed in the attacks. 'We have captured four wolves so far and are determined to catch the remaining two,' Singh said.
Divisional Forest Officer Akashdeep Badhawan noted that the wolves have been under constant surveillance, leveraging direct and indirect sightings, paw marks, and infrared drones. 'We have already rescued three wolves this month. With the help of our team and changing strategies, we are hopeful to capture the remaining wolves soon,' Badhawan stated.
