In a significant operation, the Delhi police's central district team apprehended five kidnappers and successfully rescued a minor girl at the Indo-Nepal border on Friday. The arrest followed extensive technical and manual surveillance, culminating in the safe return of the minor to her family.

The incident originated from a debt dispute between the girl's paternal and maternal uncles, identified as Krishan and his associates. The kidnapping case was reported at the IP estate police station on Tuesday after the girl went missing while heading to a local store. Her father received ransom demands via WhatsApp from a Malaysian number, deepening the urgency of the investigation.

The rescue operation involved analyzing over 300 CCTV cameras and the foreign number's technical data, revealing connections to Sitamarhi, Bihar. Interrogations and local intelligence confirmed the involvement of Krishan, his wife Shahida, and their accomplices—Pintu, Sushil, and Sunita—who lured the girl with chocolates before transporting her.

Acting swiftly, the police team traveled to Sitamarhi and intercepted the suspects at the Indo-Nepal border, where the girl was being smuggled. Further questioning revealed that the abductors aimed to take the girl to Pintu's maternal uncle's residence in Nepal to settle the uncle's debt. More suspects are being interrogated, and additional legal actions are anticipated.
