Union minister Jitendra Singh on Friday introduced a newly simplified pension application form for retiring central government employees.
The new form, known as Form 6A, consolidates nine different forms into one and was launched via video-conference. Singh highlighted that this initiative aims to ensure ease of living for citizens and pensioners.
Form 6A will be accessible on Bhavishya and e-HRMS portals for employees retiring in December 2024 and onwards. Bhavishya is designed to ensure timely payment of retirement dues and delivery of Pension Payment Orders (PPO). It enables online tracking of pension sanctions and payments, while e-HRMS manages service records of government employees.
This move aligns with the government's policy of 'maximum governance-minimum government,' aiming for end-to-end digitization of the pension process and promoting paperless operations.
