Kharge's remarks came during the launch of Congress veteran Sushil Kumar Shinde's memoir 'Five Decades in Politics', co-authored by journalist Rasheed Kidwai. He urged Shinde, despite being 83, to remain active in politics, citing historical figures like Morarji Desai who served as Prime Minister at the age of 81.
Highlighting Shinde's illustrious career and positive demeanor, Kharge underscored the importance of contributing to the party and the nation without the pursuit of positions or accolades. He emphasized the need for lifelong dedication to ideological principles and thanked the Congress for its support of Shinde's career. The memoir aims to inspire future generations.
