A married couple from Naigaon in Thane district attempted to commit suicide on Thursday by jumping into the Varsova Creek. While the woman survived, her husband is still unaccounted for, according to local authorities.

Efforts to rescue the couple began around 10 am when firemen and a rescue team were dispatched to the scene. The woman, identified as Sashikala Dinesh Yadav (28), was successfully saved. However, her husband, Dinesh Yadav (32), remains missing, reported the police.

Preliminary information suggests that the couple faced ongoing domestic conflicts, which led them to this tragic decision. The search for Dinesh Yadav is still underway.
