On Wednesday, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma visited the Bhadrakali temple in Warangal, expressing gratitude to the local administration for their warm welcome. He emphasized that visiting temples is a vital way to understand the culture of Telangana.

The newly appointed Governor noted, 'It was a great program. I received a great honour. I am very grateful to the District Administration and State Government.'

'I am new here, so I am seeing the district and its culture; visiting temples is my way of understanding Telangana and reaching out to people,' he added. Jishnu Dev Varma, a senior BJP leader, was appointed as Governor of Telangana on July 28 by President Droupadi Murmu. Originally from Tripura, he has previously served as the second Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura from 2018 to 2023.
