Upon arrival, Admiral Tripathi was honored with a ceremonial Guard of Honour at INS Garuda. During his visit, he engaged with Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command, who provided a detailed update on the Command's training, operational, infrastructure, and administrative activities. As the Training Command of the Indian Navy, SNC presented a comprehensive overview of its training programs, including the enhancement of training facilities and ongoing modernization projects. The CNS was also briefed on the disaster relief operations conducted in response to the recent Wayanad landslides, commending the Command for its efforts.

Admiral Tripathi inaugurated the newly renovated Command Stadium at Naval Base, Kochi, which now boasts modern sporting infrastructure, including an international-standard eight-lane synthetic track, a central football field, and various athletics facilities. The stadium is set to become a key hub for sports within the Navy. The CNS also interacted with the Navy's football and volleyball teams, congratulating them on their victories in the inter-services tournaments this year.

In another significant event, Admiral Tripathi inaugurated the new Yard Utility Complex at the Naval Ship Repair Yard in Kochi. Before concluding his visit, the CNS is scheduled to address officers, sailors, trainees, and defense civilians at SNC, where he will share his vision and expectations for the future. He will also revisit his alma mater, the Signal School, where he trained as a Communication and Electronic Warfare specialist.
