Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Monday a financial aid package of Rs 20 crore each for the states of Kerala and Tripura, both grappling with severe natural calamities. The announcement was made during a press briefing at the Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium in Bhopal.

"We extend our sympathies to those affected by these disasters, and the Madhya Pradesh government stands with both states during this difficult time. We pray to Lord Krishna for a swift recovery from this crisis," said CM Yadav. He noted the widespread impact of heavy rains, floods, and landslides across several states, including Madhya Pradesh itself.

CM Yadav also took to social media platform X, reiterating the state's commitment to aiding Kerala and Tripura. "Various states across the country, including Madhya Pradesh, have been affected by severe natural disasters, leading to significant loss of life and property. It's deeply distressing," Yadav posted. Marking Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Yadav emphasized the importance of solidarity and compassion.

Earlier in the day, CM Yadav performed 'Gau-Seva' at his residence and extended festive greetings. "May this Janmashtami, celebrated on auspicious dates, bring joy to all our lives. The life of Lord Krishna serves as an example for us to follow righteousness, bravery, and kindness," he told ANI.
