The 10th edition of 'Mitra Shakti' commenced on August 12 at the Army Training School in Maduru Oya, Sri Lanka, and will conclude on August 25. The Indian contingent, comprising 106 personnel from the Rajputana Rifles and other arms, is collaborating with Sri Lanka's Gajaba Regiment. The exercise aims to improve joint military capabilities for counter-insurgency operations in semi-urban environments under the UN Mandate, further augmenting defence cooperation and bilateral relations.
