The Karnataka government has unveiled a series of ambitious projects, including a Rs. 500 crore sky deck and an underground tunnel from Hebbal to Silk Board junction costing Rs. 12,690 crores. Additionally, they plan to open 52 new Indira canteens in Bengaluru and 592 Anganwadis at an estimated cost of Rs. 50 crores.
Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister DK Shivakumar recently stated that opposition leaders have endorsed the construction of a 250-metre Skydeck near NICE Road. 'The opposition leaders and Bengaluru MLAs have given the go-ahead for the Skydeck project near NICE Road, which will soon be reviewed by the Cabinet,' he said during a press conference at Vidhana Soudha.
'The Skydeck requires approximately 25 acres of land, and after considering various sites, the NICE Road location was agreed upon due to concerns from the Ministry of Aviation about the Skydeck's height,' added Shivakumar. He also noted that the state cabinet has approved renaming Ramanagara district to Bengaluru South district.
