Spanish Renewable Giant Zelestra to Power NTPC's Green Initiative
Spanish renewable energy firm Zelestra has signed a long-term deal to supply electricity from its 450 MW solar project in Rajasthan to NTPC. The agreement will reduce CO2 emissions by 13,555.774 metric tonnes over 25 years and contributes to Zelestra's goal of exceeding 6 GW in projects in the next three years.

Spanish renewable energy firm Zelestra announced on Wednesday that it has secured an agreement to supply electricity from its 450 MW solar project in Rajasthan to state-owned power giant NTPC.
The long-term agreement covers the entire output of the plant, estimated to generate around 801 GWh annually. A 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) between NTPC and Zelestra was recently signed for the project.
This initiative is expected to significantly reduce CO2 emissions by 13,555.774 metric tonnes over the next 25 years. The project aligns with Zelestra India's objective of executing a diverse project portfolio exceeding 6 GW within the next three years.
