Governor and Dignitaries Honor Maharaja Bir Bikram on His 116th Birth Anniversary

Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu and various officials paid tribute to Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur on his 116th birth anniversary. Alongside, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated. Tributes were also paid at MBB Airport, showcasing the Maharaja's legacy as the 'Architect of Modern Tripura'.

Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, paid tribute to Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur, the last King of Tripura, on his 116th birth anniversary at the Governor House (Rajbhawan) on Monday. The occasion saw the presence of the Maharaja's grandson and other dignitaries.

On the same day, MBB airport authorities in Agartala honored Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur, considered the 'Architect of Modern Tripura,' with a tribute at his statue in front of the airport. Passengers joined in the commemoration, attended by officials including CK Mallick, the acting APD, Civil Head TK Dey, and Operations HOD Smitha Prakash.

To mark the Maharaja's 116th birth anniversary, the airport authority arranged for educational videos about his contributions to be displayed inside the Terminal. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha also paid homage via social media, highlighting the Maharaja's progressive reforms in education, infrastructure, and culture. A two-day event celebrating his life commenced in Khumulwng, jointly organized by INTACH Tripura Chapter and TTAADC.
