Indian-Origin Family Tragically Killed in Texas Road Accident

In an unfortunate series of events, an Indian-origin family met with a fatal road accident in Texas, leaving only their 14-year-old son as the lone survivor. The deceased include Arvind Mani (45), his wife Pradeepa Arvind (40), and their 17-year-old daughter Andril Arvind, as reported by the Austin American Statesman.

The accident took place near Lampasas County, involving a 2004 Cadillac CTS driven by Jacinto Gudino Duran and a 2024 Kia Telluride operated by Mani. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Cadillac's right rear tire suffered a blowout, leading it to cross into the northbound lane and collide with the Kia.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged, resulting in the deaths of all five occupants. The family had been en route to the University of Dallas, where Andril was set to start college. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over USD 758,000 to support the surviving son, Adiryan, who began ninth grade recently.
