Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a meeting with senior AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday. This marks Mann's first interaction with Sisodia following the latter's release on bail by the Supreme Court last week.

Sisodia, who was apprehended last year on February 26 in connection with the excise policy case, was granted bail by the apex court on August 9. In a related development, Sisodia extended birthday wishes to Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, acknowledging Kejriwal's struggle against what he termed 'dictatorship' in the country.

'Wishing the Chief Minister of Delhi, my dearest friend and political guru, @ArvindKejriwal ji a very happy birthday, who is fighting the toughest battle against the dictatorship prevailing in the country. We are proud to be soldiers of a patriot and revolutionary leader who chose to go to jail rather than kneel before a dictator. Today the country's democracy is imprisoned in the form of Arvind Kejriwal,' Sisodia expressed in a social media post.

AAP Minister Atishi also wished Kejriwal on his birthday, praising his governance model and commitment to honesty, despite facing a 'false case.' 'Today is the birthday of the revolutionary of modern India, Mr. @ArvindKejriwal, who changed the condition of Delhi with his governance model. He gave new hope to the people of Delhi with his politics of honesty. Arvind ji, who shaped the future of lakhs of people by fighting against dictatorship, is today in jail in a false case. But truth will prevail, the beloved Chief Minister of Delhiites will come out,' she posted.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann added to the birthday greetings, 'Happy birthday to the revolutionary leader who gave a new direction to the country's politics and the supremo of the Aam Aadmi Party @ArvindKejriwal ji...'
