Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead the nation in celebrating the 78th Independence Day from the historic Red Fort in Delhi on August 15. The celebrations will focus on the theme 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047', which aims to transform India into a developed nation by the year 2047.

To increase public participation, approximately 6,000 special guests, including youth, tribal communities, farmers, women, and representatives from various governmental schemes, have been invited. The event will also see attendance from students benefiting from initiatives like the Atal Innovation Mission and PM SHRI, as well as volunteers from Mera Yuva Bharat and the National Service Scheme.

The ceremony will commence with PM Modi unfurling the National Flag, followed by a 21-gun salute. Highlights include the Guard of Honour featuring personnel from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Delhi Police, and a flower petal shower from Indian Air Force helicopters. The event will conclude with an address from PM Modi and the singing of the National Anthem by NCC cadets.
