A 23-year-old youth from Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district was allegedly assaulted by a group for stepping on a newly constructed spot, according to police officials. The incident took place around 5 pm on August 5 under the jurisdiction of Hanuman Tal police station.

Upon receiving the victim's complaint, an FIR was filed, authorities confirmed. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Suryakant Sharma noted that the youth, Aman Chaudhary, mentioned the altercation during a public hearing on Tuesday. Chaudhary claimed he was thrashed by Rajesh Sonkar and others over a construction dispute.

ASP Sharma stated that an investigation has been launched following the complaint. An FIR has been registered against Sonkar and other involved individuals, with further inquiry underway.
