Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday appealed to citizens to take part in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to remember the heroes of India's independence. Shah, through a post on X, emphasized that the tricolour symbolizes sacrifice, loyalty, and peace, and that the campaign has united Indians for the past two years.

'From August 9th to August 15th, you can hoist the tricolour at your homes and upload your selfies on https://harghartiranga.com,' he added. In his 112th 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also called upon Indians to participate in the campaign to celebrate Independence Day.

Highlighting the growing trend of taking selfies with the national flag, Modi urged party leaders and workers to ensure the flag is hoisted on houses, offices, and shops from August 13 to August 15. Initiated as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to mark 75 years of India's independence, 'Har Ghar Tiranga' aims to evoke patriotism and raise awareness about the Indian National Flag.

The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrates 75 years of India's independence and acknowledges the history, culture, and achievements of its people. This initiative also aims to empower PM Modi's vision of India 2.0, driven by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
