Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated on Wednesday that the sanctions imposed by Kyiv, which prevent the transit of oil from Russian producer Lukoil, do not endanger Slovakia's energy security.

Shmyhal made the announcement via a statement on the Telegram messenger service.

He reiterated that the option of lifting the sanctions was not open for debate and confirmed that Kyiv has the full understanding of the European Union regarding this matter.
