Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Saturday announced a new scheme in the budget aimed at skill development, under which top companies will provide internships to one crore youth over the next five years, along with a monthly allowance of Rs 5,000.

Mandaviya highlighted the scheme as a part of broader efforts to increase employment, support the middle class, and boost the economy, marking the first budget under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third term. However, the budget faced criticism from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who claimed the budget neglected the state and termed it a "vengeful act" against those who boycotted the BJP.

The protests precede the 9th NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Modi, which will focus on 'Viksit Bharat@2047.' The meeting aims to foster collaborative governance to enhance the quality of life across India.
