The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has teamed up with Swiggy to launch the 'Swiggy Skills' initiative, aligning with the Government's Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to enhance job prospects within Swiggy's network by offering opportunities in restaurant operations and retail management.

The initiative will integrate Swiggy's partner platform with the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH), providing access to online skill development courses, certifications, and training modules. The collaboration is set to benefit around 240,000 delivery partners and restaurant staff associated with Swiggy. Minister Jayant Chaudhary highlighted the importance of the logistics sector in achieving the Viksit Bharat 2047 goals.

At the partnership signing, Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy Food Marketplace, announced plans to provide recruitment to 3,000 individuals across the country through Swiggy Instamart operations and internships to 200 people trained by MSDE. The initiative will also offer in-house expertise on emerging issues such as AI, marketing, and logistics.
