Participating in the ninth meeting of the Niti Aayog Governing Council, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reaffirmed Gujarat's commitment to realising the Prime Minister's vision of 'Viksit Bharat' and determined to make the state achieve a USD 3.5 trillion economy by 2047. The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in the national capital Friday.

In this context, Patel introduced the 'Gujarat@2047 Dynamic Document-Roadmap,' aimed at achieving the goal of 'Viksit Gujarat' for a 'Viksit Bharat.' Built on the pillars of 'Earning Well' and 'Living Well,' the roadmap seeks to enhance quality of life and economic prosperity. Patel also announced the formation of the Gujarat State Institution for Transformation (GRIT), a think tank modeled on Niti Aayog, to systematically achieve these goals. Aligning with the Prime Minister's 'GYAN' mantra, Patel emphasized support for the Garib (Poor), Yuva (Youth), Annadata (Farmers), and Naari (Women).

Despite representing only 5% of India's population, Gujarat contributed 8.3% to the country's GDP in 2022-23. Patel highlighted achievements in PM Gati Shakti, Health, Nari Gaurav Niti, Shri Anna (Millet), Natural Farming, Digital Agriculture Mission, MSME, and Amrit Sarovar, and outlined future plans. Patel stressed that an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' can pave the way for 'Viksit Bharat' and called for policies to make India the largest manufacturing hub. Speaking on semiconductors, he announced the nation's first semiconductor chip manufacturing plant in Gujarat, a significant move towards semiconductor self-reliance.

Patel underscored the importance of semiconductors, blockchain, and AI in advancing the skill ecosystem needed for 'Viksit Bharat by 2047'. The state is committed to strengthening the younger generation through 'Mukhyamantri Bhavishyalakshi Kaushalya Vikas Yojana.' He also noted rapid growth in Gujarat's Solar Rooftop Scheme and the development of the world's largest hybrid Renewable Energy park in Kutch. The Chief Minister highlighted advancements in agriculture, with over 43 lakh farmers trained in natural farming. Under PM Modi's leadership, India is set to become the third-largest economy, and Gujarat is making steadfast efforts towards 'Viksit Bharat'.
