Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav declared on Friday that Agniveer jawans will be granted reservations in the recruitment process for the state's police and armed forces. This proclamation marks the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, CM Yadav stated, "Today, on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to give Agniveer jawans reservation in the recruitment of various types of police and armed forces." The Chief Minister emphasized that the Agniveer Yojana aims to modernize the military, recruit qualified soldiers, and rejuvenate the forces globally.

Extending greetings on Kargil Vijay Diwas, CM Yadav also paid tribute to Kargil war heroes at Shaurya Smarak in the state capital. He praised the army's sacrifices and courage, remarking that their unmatched bravery has created a new chapter in India's history. "The country stands with its soldiers, and our Army is capable of overcoming any challenges," he added.

A Kargil Vijay Diwas commemoration, observed annually on July 26, honors Operation Vijay's success in 1999, where Indian forces reclaimed strategic Kargil positions infiltrated by Pakistani soldiers and terrorists.
