BJP MLA Counters INDIA Bloc's Call for Bihar Special Status with Budget Highlights

Tarkishore Prasad, BJP MLA from Katihar, countered the INDIA bloc's demands for special status for Bihar by emphasizing the extensive reforms proposed in the Union Budget 2024-25. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced significant investments and projects to boost Bihar's development, which include new expressways, medical colleges, and infrastructure projects.

Accusing the opposition leaders of using the special status demand as a political tool, Prasad argued that Bihar's progress hinges on the budgetary allocations. Highlighting major announcements like the Amritsar-Kolkata industrial corridor and new power projects, Prasad reinforced the central government's commitment to Bihar's growth.
