The Puri district administration has announced the transfer of all valuables and ornaments from the inner chambers of Ratna Bhandar at Shri Jagannath Temple to a temporary treasury, in line with government-laid SOPs.

Puri Collector and District Magistrate Siddharth Shankar Swain informed reporters on Thursday that an 11-member team would open the inner chambers between 9:51 am and 12:15 pm to facilitate this transfer.

Earlier this week, the Ratna Bhandar was re-opened for the first time in over four decades, and authorities are now focused on ensuring the secure transfer of its contents. Special boxes have been brought in for the purpose, and videography is being conducted for internal records, not public dissemination.
