India's First-Ever Night Race to Illuminate Chennai Streets

In a historic development for Indian motorsport, the Indian Racing Festival will host the country's first-ever night race this weekend in Chennai.

The festival will feature a 3.5 km street circuit characterized by 19 turns, multiple chicanes, and fast straights where speeds are expected to exceed 200 kmph. Young and seasoned drivers will be pushed to their limits in this exhilarating setup.

Competing teams include six city-based franchises from the Indian Racing League and two more squads, set to provide edge-of-the-seat excitement. Adding a touch of glamour, local driver Chethan Korada expressed immense gratitude to the government and mentors for making this event possible. Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers' Nikhil Bohra and Goa Aces' Gabriela Jikova also highlighted the global significance and the exciting mixed-gender competition that will be a spectacle this weekend.
