Hours after the tragic deaths of four soldiers, including an Army officer, in Doda, Jammu & Kashmir, the Congress Party launched a scathing attack on the central government. Opposition leaders pointed out that there have been 11 terror attacks in Jammu in just 78 days, questioning the government's security strategies. MP Jairam Ramesh voiced these concerns on social media, calling for a unified response across political lines.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge took a tough stance, accusing the government of treating the situation as 'business as usual.' Expressing deep distress over the loss of the soldiers, Kharge emphasized the need for a reassessment of the current security measures. He criticized the Modi government's approach and called for collective national action against cross-border terrorism, reaffirming the Congress Party's support for the armed forces.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh expressed his condolences and called for unity to defeat the enemy's nefarious designs. The Defence Ministry reported that the encounter began on Monday night with a joint operation by the Army and Jammu & Kashmir police, leading to the fatal clash. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi briefed Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on the ongoing operations in the region.
