A man was arrested for impersonating and threatening an SDM in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur district. Chandan Singh, using aliases, was apprehended in Meerut. He has 23 prior cases and significant rewards for his capture.

A man has been apprehended by the police for allegedly threatening an SDM in Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, while posing as the PA of public representatives. The accused, identified as Chandan Singh or Sanjay Singh, was arrested in Meerut.

Saharanpur Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Sagar Jain stated that an FIR was filed on July 10 by the Nakur SDM, who reported continuous threatening calls from the accused. Following this, a case was registered at Nakur Police Station.

Upon surveilling the mobile number, the police discovered multiple numbers linked to the accused. He was eventually arrested in Sardhana, Meerut. The police recovered 11 SIM cards and 3 mobile phones from him. The accused, known to use aliases, is involved in 23 similar cases and has rewards for his capture in various districts. He admitted to his crimes during questioning and will be produced in court.
