A moving car caught fire in the Jillelaguda locality of Hyderabad on Monday evening, according to local police. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in the incident, which occurred within the limits of the Meerpet police station.

Authorities stated that around 6:30 PM, Venkatesh Nayak, a resident of Nakkagutta Tanda, Yacharam Mandal, was driving his four-wheeler from Manda Mallamma to Balapur X Road. As he reached the SYR Function Hall near Jillelaguda Lake, smoke suddenly began to emanate from the air conditioning unit.

Venkatesh acted swiftly, exiting the vehicle before it became engulfed in flames. The Meerpet police, upon receiving information, managed to put out the fire with the assistance of a fire engine. 'No casualties were reported as the driver safely escaped. We are further looking into the matter,' the police added. (ANI)
