Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday announced measures to develop all municipal corporations, including Ayodhya, into 'solar cities'.

Chairing a review meeting on the state's power generation, transmission, and distribution, Adityanath highlighted ongoing efforts and future plans, with UP Energy Minister A K Sharma and senior officials of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) in attendance.

With over 18 lakh registrations for the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana, Adityanath stressed the importance of promoting solar energy schemes enthusiastically. He also urged expedited land acquisition for proposed solar parks in multiple districts, aiming for widespread electricity distribution without discriminatory practices.
