A blaze erupted in a Mahindra car showroom in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday evening, officials reported. Firefighters received the alarm at 9.15 pm and swiftly sent two fire tenders to tackle the flames.

Chief Fire Officer Parmod Sharma stated that several vehicles were burning on the ground floor, and accessories on the first floor had ignited. Due to the severity, additional fire tenders were requested. The situation is now under control.

Sharma revealed that the late reporting by the watchman, who noticed the smoke at around 6:15 PM but delayed informing the authorities, exacerbated the damage. The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit from computers left powered on. An assessment of the losses, including multiple luxury vehicles, will be carried out in the morning.
