Madhya Pradesh: CMHO Cracks Down on Blood Black Marketing in Mandla Hospital

The Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Mandla district hospital has taken decisive action against alleged black marketing of blood. Three outsourced employees were terminated, and show-cause notices were issued to several others after investigations into a complaint revealed malpractice.

Phool Singh Masram lodged the initial complaint, alleging he was asked to pay Rs 3,400 for blood for his son after initially receiving it free. His written complaint prompted an investigation by authorities, including CMHO Dr. K C Sarante and Additional Collector Rajendra Kumar Singh.

According to the complaint, Masram was asked to pay Rs 3,400 on two separate occasions. Following the investigation, the involved employees were terminated, and show-cause notices were issued. A criminal case has been registered against Pradeep Barmaiya, who allegedly provided the blood. Further actions are pending based on responses to the notices.
