Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh attended the closing ceremony of a three-day block level under-14 sports competition at the Government Senior Secondary School in Okhru, Shimla Rural Assembly. As the chief guest, Singh congratulated both the organizers and participating teams, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and hard work in facing both victory and defeat.

Minister Singh reiterated the state government's commitment to elevating educational standards and fostering children's physical and mental development through sports. He encouraged students to take up sports and cultural activities as healthy diversions from addiction, aiming for a balanced growth leading to a bright future.

He praised the newly constructed school building worth Rs 2.5 crore, a project initiated by former Chief Minister Late Virbhadra Singh. Singh urged the school management to ensure top-notch educational facilities, promising discussions with the Education Minister about reinstating deputed teachers back to Okhru School.

Review meetings with officials are regularly conducted to expedite the implementation of development projects across Shimla Rural, including major infrastructure works such as the Rs 105 crore Galog-Ghandal drinking water scheme. Singh assured that no developmental effort would fall short in the constituency.
