Police informed on Tuesday (June 25) that a 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and raped multiple times over a period by group of persons at Neredmet in Hyderabad. The police had registered a case after the mother of the survivor filed a complaint at Kachiguda Police Station on Monday, June 24. Following this, police started a probe.

Sub-inspector of Kachiguda Police Station, Subhash, had said, "On June 24, the victim's mother made a complaint about five people. The girl is a native of Kachiguda and has a boyfriend who stays in Neredmet. Her boyfriend took her outside many times on a bike. One day, her boyfriend allegedly sexually assaulted her at Neredmet." "After some days, he introduced his friends to her and they also sexually assaulted her. A case has been registered and an investigation is going on," the police official said.

Earlier in the month, a sub-inspector of Kaleshwaram police station in Bhupalpally was arrested on charges of allegedly sexually assaulting a woman constable, as per police. According to the police, the accused and the victim reside on the same premises. Based on the complaint filed earlier by the woman constable, a case has been registered against Sub-Inspector Bhavani Sen and the probe is on.
