Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a public meeting in Chamoli district on Thursday in favour of BJP candidate Rajendra Singh Bhandari in the Badrinath Assembly by-election. CM Dhami, while paying obeisance to the land of Lord Badri Vishal, said that BJP candidate Rajendra Singh Bhandari has dedicated a long time to the service of the people of the area. He has taken forward many development projects in the Badrinath Assembly. Along with this, Mahendra Bhatt also took forward many development projects. Now, with the blessings of the people, both of them will work together to take this area forward. Here, we all have to install a double-engine government. The state government is working to make Uttarakhand the best state. Today, Uttarakhand has come forward as a model state in many areas, a press release said.

CM Dhami said that, working on the demands of the public, the state government first implemented the Uniform Civil Code. Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement UCC and every Uttarakhand resident takes pride in it. A strict anti-cheating law has been implemented in the state, due to which examinations are now being conducted with complete transparency in government jobs. Now students who work hard are passing the examination. Encroachments on government lands have been removed in the state. Some people had tried to riot in Haldwani, now anti-riot laws have been implemented to prevent such incidents from happening again, CM Dhami said. CM Dhami said that after becoming Prime Minister for the third time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi first signed the file related to the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The welfare of farmers is the priority of the PM. Work on poor welfare is being carried forward continuously under Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Yojana, Lakhpati Didi Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, CM Dhami said.

CM Dhami said that the Central and State Governments have done many important works for Badrinath Vidhan Sabha. Work is in progress on the master plan of Rs 424 crore for the grand Badrinath Dham. The process of connecting Shri Hemkund Sahib with the ropeway has progressed. The ropeway from Govindghat to Ghangaria has been approved. The ropeway from Auli to Gaursons has been approved. Remote villages in the area, like Palla, Jakhola, Kimana, Bachher, Syoon and Hapla Valley, have been connected by road. Under the Bharat Mala Project, the road between Almora and Karnaprayag has been approved. Along with this, Mana Pass, Malari Joshimath Road have also been approved. Approval has been given to build a multi-story parking area in Joshimath. An amount of Rs 1 crore 38 lakh has been approved for the construction of an open-air ice skating ring in Oli, CM Dhami said. CM Dhami said that Mana village was declared an iconic village. Prime Minister Modi had called the villages situated in the border area the first village of the country from Mana itself. He said that the state government is continuously taking forward the development work. Attacking the opposition, he said that the people of Congress have nothing to do with the work of public welfare. Uttarakhand has given a reply to the lies and hypocrisy of Congress in the Lok Sabha elections.

He said that after losing the Lok Sabha elections, Congress is spreading confusion among the people. Congress has three basic mantras: corruption, appeasement and nepotism, CM Dhami said. CM Dhami urged the people of Badrinath to take forward the development work of the area by electing BJP candidate Rajendra Singh Bhandari in the by-election. (ANI)
