Global Maritime Convergence: IFR Returns to Vizag

President Droupadi Murmu has arrived in Visakhapatnam to partake in the International Fleet Review (IFR), an event slated from February 15-25. Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer welcomed her at the Naval Air Station Dega.
According to an official release from Lok Bhavan, President Murmu will witness the IFR on February 18. The Indian Navy hosts this significant global maritime event, marking its return to the city for the second time since 2016.
The IFR, along with 'Exercise MILAN' and the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium Conclave of Chiefs, will bring together over 100 nations to display naval strength. It aims to enhance maritime security and cooperation, with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expected to attend.
