BJP leader K Annamalai returned from poll campaigning in Kerala to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Chennai, affirming he will not run in the upcoming elections.
Annamalai was not listed among the party's probable candidates and chose instead to support BJP and NDA candidates across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala.
Addressing media inquiries, Annamalai clarified his focus on campaigning, having formally declined candidacy to party committees and leadership figures including Piyush Goyal and B L Santosh.
