The last episode of Hawaii Five-0 Season 9 had a large focus on Danny and also the mystery surrounding his daughter’s car accident. The previous episode 13 titled ‘Ke iho mai nei ko luna’ (‘Those Above are Descending’) had the synopsis, as released by CBS: ‘Adam, Junior and Tani travel to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean when a murder takes place in a remote underwater lab, and the killer may still be on board.’

In Hawaii Five-0 Season 9 episode 13, the viewers got to see Tani, Adam and Junior travelling to a remote submarine lab deep under the Pacific Ocean where a murder had been taken place. Later, the submarines oxygen supply begins to deteriorate and it’s up to McGarrett to save everyone on board. Meanwhile, Grace recovers from her near-death car accident and Junior lends a hand to his estranged family.

The next episode 14 of Hawaii Five-0 Season 9 is slated to air on Friday, February 1. The viewers will get an opportunity to watch an extraordinary performance from Chi McBride who is playing the role of Captain Lou Grover in the series. He is linked to the case at the heart of this particular episode and CBS wants the viewers to know that this is going to be a performance that shatters everyone’s heart.

Here’s the synopsis for episode 14 titled ‘Ikliki i ka la o Keawalua’ (Depressed with the Heat of Kealwalua): While investigating Flippa’s friend’s murder, McGarrett and Grover uncover a deadly plan by an extremist group on the Island. Also, Grover has an emotional reaction to the case on Hawaii Five-0, Friday, February 1 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Cartermatt gives the reason why Grover is linked to the case. “he’s had so much experience in law enforcement that it takes a lot for a case to mean something more to him since he’s seen it all at this point in his career,” the site noted.
