Comedian Samay Raina was called in by Maharashtra Cyber officials on Friday in connection with an obscenity case that has grabbed headlines. The case stems from contentious remarks made by social media influencer Ranveer Allahbadia on Raina's YouTube reality show, according to authorities.
Raina's Friday visit to the agency's World Trade Centre office in South Mumbai marks his second appearance this week, as confirmed by official sources. His initial meeting with the cyber cell took place on March 24 at their headquarters in Navi Mumbai.
The state police's cyber and information security unit is leading an investigation against Allahbadia and associates, following public outrage over his offensive commentary on "India's Got Latent." Complaints have been filed both on and offline against the YouTuber and other program participants.
