Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra finds himself at the center of a political storm after the Maharashtra legislative council admitted a breach of privilege notice against him. The notice accuses Kamra of mocking Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde during a recent comedy event.
The controversy erupted following Kamra's performance at Mumbai's Habitat Comedy Club, where he delivered a parody song aimed at Shinde. This act ignited fury among Shiv Sena supporters, resulting in vandalism at the venue.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sushma Andhare has also been implicated in the notice. The Privileges Committee will now review the complaint, and if found valid, it could be discussed in the House, intensifying the political drama.
