Renowned karate instructor and archery pioneer, Shihan Hussaini, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday after fighting against blood cancer in a private hospital. He was 60 years old and leaves behind his wife and daughter.

Hussaini, affectionately known as Hu, was a sculptor, painter, and an inspiring figure to many young enthusiasts of martial arts and archery. He played a pivotal role in establishing the Archery Association of Tamil Nadu (TAAT) and served as its general secretary.

Despite his battle with leukemia, Hussaini made the noble decision to donate his body to medical research. His impact was far-reaching, and he is remembered for his significant contributions to archery in Tamil Nadu, as well as his daring stunts and roles in Indian cinema.
