President Murmu's Historic Visit to Shree Nilamadhav Temple
President Droupadi Murmu visited the Shree Nilamadhav Temple in Nayagarh, Odisha, marking the first visit by a sitting President to the site. Accompanied by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, she also attended community events and is set to return to Delhi.

President Droupadi Murmu made history on Monday by becoming the first sitting President of India to visit the renowned Shree Nilamadhav Temple in Nayagarh, Odisha.
Accompanied by state dignitaries, including Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, President Murmu partook in traditional 'aarti' rituals at the sacred Lord Vishnu shrine, deeply respected since ancient times by the Sabar tribe. The temple, nestled amid dense forests near two hills, has significant cultural and religious importance.
Following her temple visit, the President went on to Kaliapalli village for community interactions, unveiling a statue of revered Sabar Raja Biswabasu. She will further participate in a foundation ceremony for the Bharatiya Biswabasu Sabar Samaj. President Murmu is scheduled to return to Delhi on Tuesday morning.
